How we work

Storm damage we repair

Cracked, broken and slipped tiles

Hail and flying debris crack tiles, and strong winds can shift them out of place. We replace broken tiles and reset slipped ones to stop water from getting underneath.

Leaks

A leak that shows up after a storm often starts somewhere other than the stain on your ceiling. We trace it back to the actual entry point before we quote.

Lifted or failed ridge capping and pointing

Ridge caps sit along the top and hips of a tile roof. If the bedding or pointing underneath is already tired, a storm can loosen or lift them. We rebed and repoint with a flexible Selleys pointing compound that moves with the roof.

Minor gutter repairs

We can take care of minor gutter repairs while we're on the roof. For larger gutter repairs or a full replacement, we'll point you to a trusted local trade.

Lifted, loose or dented metal sheets

Wind can lift metal sheets where fixings have rusted or worked loose. We refix or replace fixings, treat rust and reseal where needed.

Damaged flashings and valleys

Flashings and valleys channel water off the roof. When a storm bends or shifts them, water gets in. We repair and reseal them so the roof drains the way it should.

Repair work

Working with your insurer

If you're making a claim, your insurer decides what the policy covers. What we can do is give you and your insurer clear information to work with.

  • We inspect the whole roof, not just the obvious damage

  • We photograph what we find

  • If your insurer or assessor needs it, we can provide a written report along with the photos

  • We're happy to speak with your insurer or assessor if they ask

You'll also get a written quote for the repairs before any work goes ahead.

Service scope

Do you need a repair or a restoration?

Sometimes a storm only damages a few tiles or one section of flashing, and a repair is all the roof needs. Other times the storm reveals wider problems: worn coating, crumbling pointing, or porous tiles across the whole roof.

When we inspect, we'll tell you which one your roof actually needs. If it's an older roof that's due for work anyway, fixing the storm damage as part of a full tile roof restoration or metal and Colorbond roof restoration can make more sense than patching it twice. If a repair will do the job, we'll say so.

We will always be transparent about which service your roof needs. After our inspection, we will tell you plainly if a repair will do the job or if a restoration is the more sensible long-term investment.
